The mission of Harlow Co-operative Development Agency (Harlow CDA) is to be the agency of choice for people to develop and support co-operatives and social enterprises in the Harlow and district area.

 The aims of Harlow CDA are

  • To provide support, development and advancement of all co-operatives and social enterprises in Harlow and the surrounding areas.
  • To act as a bridge from the voluntary and community sector to the business sector and vice versa.
  • To offer business mentoring and business planning opportunities to people who find it hard to access mainstream provisions.
  • To raise awareness of social enterprise and co-operative principles.

Co-operative Assistance Network Limited (CAN)

CAN has been providing training, consultancy and development work for co-operatives, social enterprises and credit unions since 1989.

 

All our training courses, from short workshops to extended, accredited courses, are developed in-house by co-operative and social enterprises development professionals.

 

CAN can advise on all aspects of setting up and running a successful enterprise.

 

CAN is a co-operative of skilled specialists with the resources and systems to support excellence in service delivery.

The Guild

The Guild is a leading provider of business support, training and consultancy to the social enterprise, voluntary and community sectors.

 

The Guild provides hands-on support for organisations that are starting up or developing, while also undertaking research and consultancy work with significant policy implications.

 

The Guild is unique because we have a real understanding of the day-to-day issues experienced in the voluntary and community sector combined with a deep knowledge of the policy framework in which they operate.

 

Based in Norwich, The Guild works with many local organisations and individuals in the East of England.

We are an independent social enterprise consultancy practice which supports the development of co-operative, social enterprise and mutual solutions.

 

We work with local authorities, NHS bodies, government, social enterprises, sector support organisations, communities, user groups and staff teams to develop practical solutions for public service improvements.
